Who's "they".

If it's the stealership that is your problem.

get some quotes from a bunch of different shops

don't ever have us (the dealership) rebuild your engine, we'll cost you an arm, two legs, an eye and your wallet. take your heads and get them redone, any engine shop should be able to do that. and depending on what it is in the valves, it shouldn't cost too much.

Have you talked to a local shop about getting it rebuilt?

This is the problem i have with mine http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/s4...sb05-26-03.pdf

the shop i went to told me it could cost 1200 - 1500 if they can reuse the head and 2000 or more if i needed new head. If i spend the money just getting one head then the same thing might happen to the other one so i thought i would be better off just getting a new engine i can get a re manufactured engine from Jasper engines for $2600 shipped and it comes with 3 year 100,000 mile warranty

I installed a new head after having the valve seat problem on my truck. Now my truck is burning 2.5 quarts of oil a month. Now im having to debate on if i want another truck, rebuild what I have, or install a bigger engine.
