Please help me save some $, Dealer only hose?

Thanks again everybody. I have a 2002 3 liter V6 Flex Fuel engine.

At the rear of the engine on top, there is a hose about 3/4 in diameter. Exits the top at the rear and turns 90 degrees down. Sorry no pictures, truck is at the mechanic. PCV something? Can't seem to get it anywhere but Ford ($75!!) Anyone know of an aftermarket part? I'm trying to get him to send a picture.

It IS a dealer only item, but MANY guys have fixed it wit some hardware store parts.
I'll look for the thread on it.

I had the exact same hose break.
Easy no cost fix, use an old spark plug boot to replace it. Remove wire from boot and trim small end to fit, actually heavier than original hose.

75.00 Aint bad for a hose set up like that from a dealer. Just do it, cheap fixes may not work as well. My thought is: Manufacture designed it that way for a reason. why alter it. It is 75.00 for a reason too. Ford has to pay that dude behind the counter for getting that part to you. plus whatever Ford had to Spend to get it manufactured.

I never go cheap with vehicle fixes. Will only Bite you in the end. Some of you guys made it work, Cool. Not something I would do unless I couldnt get the part.

I got that part from dealer too, because they changed it and its a nice ribbed hose now that won't collapse or create a hole again over time.
