well to me its equivalent to a magnaflow or a delta flow muffler. its really mellow until you get above 2750 rpms. It was kind odd because it would be mellow and then WWWAAAAA! just not my piece of pie. I had heard a few 3.8's with the twister in town and loved how it made them sound. So I tried it and loved it many guys ask if i have the 4.0 or larger. The twister is about the same as a super 44 but with less of a drone. One thing that I love about the twister is that its in the shape of a glasspack so it can tuck up in the frame and wont hang down and get hung up on obstacles.
but its all about preference... I like loud exhausts but not the annoying popping sound, it has to be refined somewhat. If you are looking for a mellow tone go for it, if you are looking for something that sounds really aggressive id go for the twister. I havent heard any other ranger with the twister but thats fine with me I like going a little bit of a different route than most.

v8's will make a big difference in how a muffler will sound. with a v6 its like a hit or miss. I didnt like the vforce because it didnt have the sound I was going for and I didnt like how it would go from mellow to loud like my twister. It will all come down to you.
