Idleing problem???

Every time I come to a light or stop sign I shift into neutral and my rpms launch up to about 2000-2500 rpms and if I leave it it stays there for about 30 seconds and then slowly comes down to regular...any ideas?? clean the MAF or something??

Not familiar with the ohv, but the iac is the little football-shaped, mini keg looking thing on your manifold. The tps is on your throttle body. I would go ahead and clean all three - maf, tps, iac.

My first guess would be the IAC as well.
On my 06 the IAC is on the drivers side right behind the throttle body.

If the rpms come down to normal.. then I'd definately guess the IAC. But if they don't come down all the way.. it might be a vacuum leak that the IAC is trying to account for.

Also, it's unlikely.. but I have seen a bad temp sensor cause very high idles too. (the pcm temp sensor.. not the guage one)
