Fuel Filter 4.0L

Fuel Filter 4.0L
Ok. Its time to change the fuel filter in the truck. In my area I can locate 2 brands of filters. Purolator and Fram. My question is, which one should I go with. I thought that I read somwhere that Purolator isn't very good. I just wanted to see what everyone else was using before I bought anything. The difference between the 2 in price is about $1.50 with Fram being more expensive. Thanks in advance.

The purolator isnt bad but it is a bit smaller than the stock one.
I dont trust anything with fram on it.. its probably fine....but after seeing their regular oil filters with CARDBOARD end caps.... well...
Personally I'd buy one from www.rockauto.com :)
A WIX brand one (one of the better brands) is 22$ shipped
Also if you have a napa 99% chance they can get you a wix, baldwin, or hastings filter there.
Motorcraft brand about the same.
I do think they are worth the 10$ more than a purolator or fram.
That being said I ended up with a purolator..
It was probably 2/3 the volume of the motorcraft...
and the bracket stud broke off when i installed it.. i was tightening the nut by HAND and it broke totally off.. Next time when I change it. I am definitely
buying a premium brand one.
