spark plug removal

been getting like 15 mpg all of a sudden and tried everything except spark plugs. I was wondering on a 2001 4.0 all the spark plugs are accesible except for the passenger siderear one. how do you get to this? I cant even see it. It seems like I have to take off half the fender to get to it.

I can go through the fender. I do have a body lift and the access is very very easy for me.

so do you just take off the mud flaps in the fender well? If so, are the clips holding the mudflaps on removeable or do you have to buy new ones to put it back on? thanks

The rubber splash shields are held on to the plastic inner fenders by plastic push pins. Pry the rear pins out to gain access the spark plugs and then push them back in when you're done. They're reusable several times.

Mileage on the plug depends. But the ford motorcraft double platinum ones are the supposedly 100,000 mile plugs*

* your mileage will depend on many factors, bla, bla, bla.
