'93 4.0 bogging down

I just got this truck this week. Neighbor had it. He replaced the MAF a month ago and it started running fine.
It just started bogging down again and he unplugged the MAF which I presume puts it in an open loop mode to run. It runs better but not right. So we just replaced the MAF again(warranty) and the problem is still there. He did check the fuel pressure a month ago and it was "good"(no idea what it read).

I'm guessing I will need to get it checked out but I was wondering if someone here suffered a similar issue? I do not like throwing parts at it but I do think it needs a tune up as well. The spark plug wires have "FORD" on them. The plugs were changed a while back.

I'm a bit baffled by it running better with the MAF unplugged.

Thanks
