What oil do you guys use?
I run German Castrol 0w-30 which actually is more of a 10w then 0w, however it has excellent wear characteritics and has a hard time breaking down over time. I'm my LS1 I run either that or Royal Purple 10w-40. The reason I ask, is because the 4.0 SOHC are made in Germany and well, why not use german oil in them. Just asking what y'all use.

I used 3 flavors of M1 syn with 45000 miles of m1 5w40 syn being the most used. However now that I aquired 20qts of pennzoil platinum for 2$ a quart that is next up to be used... and after that is the 25qts of valvoline max life syn that
I got for free... It seems they had this promotion where you got
the oil free to try out after rebate (had to pay tax)... Well
lets just say my grandma, dad, girlfriend, and other grandma
all decided to try it out too :) (it was limit 5qts per address)

In My truck and Expedtion Valvoline, 5w20 with a Wix Filter.
In My Cadillac, Valvoline Maxx life (75,000 mile and over oil) with a Wix filter, changed once a year, as I hardly do more than 2500 miles in a year.
The Charger is Filled to the top of the oil filler, with the cheapest generic oil I can find. (Motor Doesn't run and needs to be rebuilt, just wanted to keep it from seizing)
The explorer gets what ever they sell at Carquest, It has 182000 miles and I plow with it, It's got bigger problems than what quality of oil I put in it.

Just to let you know, Fram filters suck ***. You want to use a WIX type filter: Napa, STP, Penzoil, Purolator. Mobil 1, Bosch, K&N, Amsoil are other types, but a hell-ov-alot better than Fram. The reason being, is that the Frams filter media breaks down fast, even by 3k miles. The other filters down break down as fast and have even more filter media to catch more and some filter better; smaller particals caught.
