Help!!!!!

ok so heres how it all started i bought my truck 2000 ext cab 4x4 3.0 and the engine was blown. it had no compression on the #5 cylinder i bought a 30,000 mile engine hopeing it would last i made it 3000 miles and it lost compression on the #5 cylinder. also the tranny is out. i wanna swap my 3.0 for a 5.0 but i want a high horsepower engine. if sum1 has done this before and would like to do another id pay them and id help. im about 20 miles ne of mt.vernon illinois. if yall have any input or can help in anyway id apreciate it.

go to the project logs youll see threads where guys put a 5.0 in theirs read what they wrote and the search button works too!

ive looked and searched. all i find is he explorer engine swap. i mean i dont guess that would be bad but i wanna do something right if im gonna start it. im still in highschool and i live on a farm so im not highly mechanically inclined and i have some of the tools to do it but not most of em.

I'm not sure what you mean by a high horsepower engine, but if your looking for a stock 302 with a decent power output maybe check out a 302 High Output from a mustang, they put down about 225 HP stock. If you want alot of power its going to take money.

302's, 300HP or 380HP, and you better be prepared to drop a few stacks, cause they're true crates.
