Just checking in guys, truck is still running amazing. No problems since the new crank installed, got less then 10k miles on her now.
I'm deployed back overseas again for a few years to make up some money that I spent on this build and to get a roll cage put in. The latest upgrade I did before I left was a quick disconnect steering wheel.
When I go home for vacation I'll post up some new pics.

Quick question. The 42 pin explorer connector to your Ranger 42 pin works wire for wire as is except for the few changes you posted a couple pages back from WIN? I was just worried about burning the PCM up since some of the colors don’t match from the two different vehicles.
Thanks
Thanks

PR,
Great build! Super stoked to see the current setup in those videos. Is this off road only, or were you able to get it passed smog? I'm looking at a V8 swap, but not as extreme (no real off road, just dirt trails and unimproved roads). I've got an '04 4.0L RWD and trying to find a smog legal engine to swap in is a PITA!
Where were/are you in afghanistan? I was in Bagram 2015-2016. Marine working with the Georgians.

Thanks Hawaii. This is offroad and onroad. I was able to get it registered in a smog exempt county. So I just pay for my tags every year. Any v8 swap for our rigs is gonna be a PITA when it comes to smog because you need same year or newer.
I was in Afghan back in 2011/2012 in Sharana and Bagram. I'm working in Germany these days. Thanks for the kind words! Good luck.

Thank you Bob!
I did all the wiring based on this guide from win:
Legend:
C110 = original Ranger 3.0 harness 42 pin connector
C115 = Explorer 5.0 42 pin connector
C1078 = A/C high pressure switch, C139 is C1078's path to ground (below brake master cylinder)
C1006 = A/C compressor relay
A/C Compressor control:
Loop C110 pin 37 to C110 Pin 35. Route C139 pin 5 or C1078 pin 1 to C115 pin 37 and to C1006 pin 6. Remove F1.25 10a fuse and then swap the relay pins from normally closed to normally open. It's probably easier to replace the A/C relay and "pig-tail" the new relay to both the C139 mod and the N0/NC swap.
Tachometer:
Move wire in slot 8 on the 10 wire plug to slot 16 on the 16 slot plug at back of instrument cluster
Starter:
Route C110 pin 28 to Ground, leave C115 pin 28 disconnected
Alternator (likely only 1 of three changes need to be made):
Route C110 Pin 41 to alternator excite terminal (only if C110 has the alternator wire)
Route C110 Pin 42 to alternator always on (only if C110 has the alternator wire)
Route C115 Pin 42 to ground -- gotta do this one regardless of the alternator wires)
VSS ground:
Route C115 pin 13 to ground
Leave C110 pin 13 open
I'll check the OR/BK again.

Been about a year since my last update, she still running strong as hell with about 6k miles on her. Nothing major, had to change water pump and some other small things but nothing too crazy.
Took her down to Addiction Motorsports in Simi Valley and had all new injectors put on since some of the old ones weren't firing correctly. And they also tuned her up, she fly's off the line.
I'll post a recent pic when I get home.
