Water sux.

I'm looking for a simple solution to keep my HEI dry.

Anyone have suggestions and pictures? Throw whatever you have seen or have done at me, oh and Ideas for keeping water out of my carb, i can't deal with a hydrolock right this second and I've come mighty close.

I've toyed with the idea of a snorkel, but this isn't just an offroad truck, i'll save that for when I get my beater woods truck going. I'm thinking something along the lines of a carb hat like you'd see on a centrifugal charged motor with a hose or something that goes to a filter in a "dry" part of the engine bay.

Anyway, I'm out of ideas so someone hook me up.

I was toying around with that idea, but alot of times its a little more than a splash, I try to keep it dry, no deeper than 7-8 inches but sometimes to get back through the trails you're faced with going through it or turning around and going home.

I'll grab some cardboard and mock something up when I get home, that'll be cheap, sheet metal and rivets. :-P

Old street signs maybe.
