aftermarker stereo

new to the forums probably already a post about this.

but just got my uncles truck and love it already!

i was wondering if bestbuy or anywhere else sold panels or something to cover up the missing space if i put in an aftermarker stereo, since it has the full sized balance, bass, favorites button type stereo.

I also heard you need to get a key to remove those models? is that correct and could i find them on rock auto

thanks again everyone

check out crutchfield.com. if you buy an aftermarket radio from them, they'll send you both the dash kit which will fill the gap as well as the wiring harness needed free of charge. great and reputable website. you could also buy just the dash pocket kit and wiring harness from crutchfield alone, it will be cheaper than best buy (which is a rip off).

If you order a stereo from crutchfield, theyll also send you the u-shaped "keys" needed to remove your stock radio. When I ordered mine, it came with everything.

^x2. I've gotten a couple of units from them over the past few years. Their lifetime tech support is a life saver.
