I think i wanna do some stereo stuff... Need Opinions...

Hey fellas/ladies , im looking for a new stereo.

I recently purshased a fox and it has the stock stereo in it, lookin to upgrade to aftermarket stereo.

Want something that has RCA output and maybe input as well..

Something that would sound nice, the rest of the things i had, or have are kenwood. So something kenwood would be nice if possible.

Im also looking to hook up and amp and sub, hence the rca outputs.

Thanks Everyone.

Dont know if this is the right forum.

Also considering a nice 12" Sub... Suggestions?

Willing to spend up to 200-250 on a deck..
And 120-150 on a good sub.

No one really uses the smilies. Figured i would. heh..

for the deck:you can get a last years alpine with a warranty for about what you are looking to spend from most stereo shops.
as for the rest i personally recommend memphis...mids, highs, amps, and all... get 1 12 in that mustang and it will be bumping...my 12's ran $119 a piece.

if you're still thinkin of a sub, i'd say try the jl 10w3v2.. i recommended it to james, and he ended up buyin one. i'm not sure if he got it in yet, but if he did, you could ask if he recommends it as well.

ALPINE ALL THE WAY.. Then again, one of my subs retails for about what you probably want to pay for your entire system, but if you have a specific idea, let me know and if my brother carries it, I can get it to you at his cost plus shipping IE: my system values at over $2500 and I paid a total of $689.37 for everything in it which is just a little more than my audiobahn amp alone retails for at circuit city

I love my Pioneer deck and 3-way speakers there get. also 1 10" sub should do the trick just fine. I have had a few Rockford subs and amps and they have never let me down and sound wonderful

Also, if anyone could help, on what size guage wire i should get? Im looking at a few different ones.

I just want to be able to use the full power of my amp if necessary.

Its a kenwood 600w Amp.

are you planning to do alot of performance mods to your Fox? if so, i would personally suggest a Pioneer Avic-N1 or N2. The HU can be interfaced into your car and give you readings on items like G's, acceleration, and all kinds of cool stuff....i would check out there site.

If that's not your bag then i would definitely suggest an Alpine HU...

I would suggest 8AWG or 4AWG. heavy duty wiring, but the more conductor you have the more you're gonna get from your amp, to an extent anyways...

hope i've been at least a little helpful
