Factory Pioneer 6-CD w/ AUX
I have a 2005 Ranger FX4 with the factory Audiophile / Pioneer sound system with 290 Watts and console subwoofer. I recently bought the same exact stereo only out of a 2009 so it has the "AUX" button and a 20-pin connection on the back that my old one didn't have. I tried buying a 20-pin iPod/aux input, hooked it up, but it didn't work. I think it’s because I don't have external CD changer controls. Any ideas how I can hook up an aux input to this stereo? How is the factory aux wired in newer Rangers?

If you still have the iPod/aux input thing, try hitting the CD button twice. I have one on my older model CD6 and that's how you access the aux function. I know it seems strange, but give it a whirl.
As far as how the newer ones work, I have no clue. Ford does offer something called TripTunes as an addon that works pretty nicely.

I don't have any info to help solve your problem... but I was wondering if you could snap a pic of the back of that '09 stereo. I assume that truck had Sirius satellite radio? I'm just wondering if I can find a radio out of a Sirius truck and swap it with mine and somehow just add an antenna to integrate it into my truck.
