turn the volume ****.

but seriously, you'll need to get an amp and speakers if you want louder.

Stock ranger radio's come from the factory with a volume limiter on it. If you take out your stock radio and open the case, you'll need to find resistor 0TRL. If you're handy with a soldering iron, you can remove this restrictive component.

Reinstall and enjoy your new radio volume!!

another thing you can do is turn up the volume on the tracks of the CD in your music program (iTunes, Zune, etc) and then burn them to a CD. I know for me, when I put on a CD from listening to the radio, the CD music is always much louder

The sync stereo is awesome. My uncle has one in his new ford flex he just bought. Sound engineered by Sony, so I was expecting CRAP, but that sub they put in there really hits hard. Almost as good as the kicker systems they put into the SRT4 calibers...
Very clear sound, but seems to lack brilliance, and EQ parameters really are limited... not even a mid setting... Like come on....
