my project...

well, i think its about time for an audio/video make over for me. im keeping my head unit and 4 channel amp, but heres what i want

2 audiobahn 10" flame compression subwoofers in a 2.5cu.ft. ported box at 38hz, each wired parallel at 4 ohm final impedance.

2 audiobahn A8002V amplifiers, bridged, one for each sub pumping 800 watts rms.

audiobahn acs2068H coaxial/component speakers
- http://www.electronicgiant.com/catal...oducts_id=5564

so what do you think, i have to build the box, i drew out a design for it, subs facing forwards into the seats, ports on the front under the subs, and amps on top under plexi. its gunna be alot of work and time, but it should be really cool and sound amazing when its all said and done. im shooting for loud and clear, and i think the 10's will do the job nicely, expecially in a large box.

so tell me what you think

i havent heard audiobahn coax/components before, but i have had the base line 10" subs(flames on the basket) and they took a beating thats for sure! but not the best SQ...
the amps are pretty decent too ive heard.

on the same scale as audiobahns, i would deffinately check out memphis, pricing is about the same, amps look slick, and i have had great results with all the memphis speakers i have owned... the tweeters were a bit harsh if listened to at max volume all the time like i used to do.

I aslo agree with not using audiobahn. But not everyone has the money to spend on brands like Image Dynamics, Focal, Arc Audio, etc. They have to buy things that are in thier price range.

check out FI, www.ficaraudio.com they are good priced, and good subs. also check out dayton at www.partsexpress.com their dvc subs are a great bang for the buck. as far as components i think cdt has a good entry level line iirc.

well you fella's are really mistaken.....i have an Audiobahn A8000T mono class D 800watt RMS amp pushing my 12" L5 and it was awsome......worked great without any problems.....and whenever i metered the amp to see what kind of power i was pushing, i set the amp to push 650 watts RMS....it was just a bit over 1/2 of what i could get out of it.......

well, thanx for your opinions. i think im going to stick with audiobahn but everyones entitled to their own opinions. my 2 cents, i've had real good luck w/ them, my 4ch amp has taken a beating ever since day one and performs great. and my sub is insane expecially in a big 3.5cu.ft. box.

my buddy has a 10" kicker L5 solo baric in a ****ty box and it was banging sooo loud, when we checke dit with the little scouche meter from wal-mart, he was hitting like 140 something off 400 watts..i **** my pants hahahahaha. and that convinced me kicker's on top of their game. then he broke the wire on the terminal so im kinda iffy iffy on it. now he gots 2 10" CVR's ina ported box and they also slam...so maybe i'll consider kicker???

the audiobahn components are freakin awesome. I've heard it in many of my friend's cars, and it's just simply amazing. Listening to classical music is the best, you can hear everything

As far as AudioBahn product are concerned, you can get better for cheaper.

Id rather buy used Fosgate, kicker, or Us Amps, 500w all day long, than a new 1200w audiobahn... they just dont sound good IMHO.

man I cant wait to jump back into this with my AX1500DE.

he's saying the one from walmart gives too much appreciation.. it's reading 140dB + for you, but in reality, compared to an accurate meter, you're maybe only hitting 104dB.
