Great, a 21 year old telling me to grow up. I don't mind criticism on my mods. I just can't accept the fact that its my $$ to spend as I will no matter how much I spend. Just say the mod sucks, I can handle that but unless your flippin the bill don't tell me how to spend or how much to spend on it. I posted links to the site so you can see the prices & I'm sure others have spent as much or they wouldn't be in business.
The only reason I posted the cost @ all is because someone asked. I surely won't do that again.

Thank You
Rick

It doesn't matter what age I am. If you're angry someone doesn't agree with you, you seriously need to grow up. You posted on these forums for a response, and you got it. No one is telling you how to spend your money. We just responed to the price. Spend your money any way you want, that's how it should be (and is) anyways. No one is saying the thing sucks (hell, i don't even know specifically what it's function is over stock).

If you don't like responses, then don't post.

No...if you read the whole thread you will see I posted pics of the battery, I didn't post anything about how much I spent until someone asked. I wasn't trying to get anyones approval on the way I spend my $$ on my truck, I was answering a question...thank you.

Not trying to fuel the fire, but I paid $140 for my yellow top @ sears two years ago(not on sale).

The mod looks nice though, cleans up that corner of the engine compartment quite a bit. Don't take the critism to heart man. These guys are just giving opinions, take them as you please.

If you like it, that's all that matters =]

Thanks
Mine was $149 plus a stupid battery disposal fee required by the state even though my old battery is in my shed as we speak & tax for a grand total of $167. I'm not sure about difference in cost on sizes but I payed less for my yellow top in my car last year but its probably smaller.

I think they only make one size "yellow top". I could be mistaken though, wouldn't be the first time...

1 site shows 8 different ones, a couple smaller than the one I bought today. Looks like the one I have in the car is a D75/25 & its $151.95 & the one for the truck i bought today is a D34/78-950 & on this particular site its $167.95. The one for the truck is a bit larger but not by a lot & the cranking amps is a touch more as well.

I think it looks snazzy! I need to get me some optima and new cables/terminals too.

Quest I need you to hook me up with a new battery! $45 is dirt cheap for a yellowtop!

Sweet, gotta love the YellowTop, I love mine!
The terminals are a little expesive though as mentioned, they look sweet and i'm sure they work great. Top shelf audio parts are expensive! terminals aren't a huge deal to spend that much on, but as you said you like to have a nice install and you're experienced. Good job!

Through the means of a fellow friend/auto zone employee, i think i paid 80 bucks for mine. All 80 dollars went into my buddy's pocket...whoops. I have the $4.80 terminals from parts express and i love them. I understand they might start to rust and corrode and what not, but i'm willing to pay another 5 bucks for another. But your terminals are really nice and clean looking!

so whats the best one? yellow top or red? or even that blue one??? and How does Quest get them for $45? Hook me up man! lol

and I thought about it those battery conecter were prolly 60-50 bucks then he bought the wire too which was prolly 50 buck so thats not too bad...IMO you get what you pay for...and that battery matches your rim ring

The Red is for starting, has a fairly high Cold Cranking Amp rating. Yellow is Deep Cycle, for using equipment when vehicle is off, or for high-draw items. Blue is marine deep cycle, similar to Yellow. Not exactly sure difference between Blue and Yellow so don't quote me on that.

Looking nice! Remember, "You get what you pay for!"

You paid top dollar and I can guarantee you won't be disappointed. It's your truck, you want to spend the $$$, then go ahead and do it!
