OEM Upgrade - Double din suggestions
#26
Any standard double din should require you trim the dash but I wouldn't worry about it. The amount you take off is very small, and is invisible even if you put the stock radio back in.
+1 on the bypass being a liability thing. I've got an Pioneer Avic x930bt that I picked up new on Amazon for $580 there is a bypass that can be done. If the only thing blocked was watching movies I think many wouldn't bother but without the bypass it's stupid how little you can do when your driving.
Basic functions like changing your destination, put in an address, change audio setup, dial a phone number, ect.. ect.. ect... require you to stop on the side of the road.

Both of the units you posted do not have DVD capabilities, if you haven't purchased a unit yet I would look into the new line of Pioneer DDIN radios AVH-P series. They're great radios and turn on a lot faster than all the Kenwoods out there. I Personally run the AVH-P2400BT in my truck. Now on Pioneer Radio's you do need a bypass to be able to watch movies and drive, with a Clarion unit you need a ground pulse switch, with Kenwoods you only need to ground the parking brake wire (light green).
