Radio Harness Plug Diagram?

I'm looking for a diagram of the plug for the back of the radio that controls the rear console controls and cd changer, not my pic, but heres an idea:

its the big one without a harness

And does anyone have an extra harness plug for it?

Thanks for any help

This chart is from a 99 Explorer. I used it to wire an OE 6-disc, redundant controls and SSV.

Thats awesome Bob!

The only thing I'm not sure of is pin 14, where does that go? and is it necessary?

14 is for the "redundant" audio controls on some Explorer steering wheels.

so, since you have explorer parts up the butt on your ranger, you wouldnt happen to have a spare radio plug? the 20pin one

I've got a link in my favorites at home of a couple places (or, at least one place) that sells a harness to fit this plug... from which you can connect up a factory CD changer *and* (at least) one other audio device (such as an MP3 player). I can post the link in this thread when I get home tonight...

I'm interested in checking out that link.

In the diagrams posted above, what are the "Audio Corporate Protocol" pins used for?

Nope.

Circuit 595 Pin 14 of C228 (Radio) does not go to C2003 (RICP)

RICP = Rear Integrated Control Panel

1 = 801 TN/YE left rear speaker sig +
2 = 800 GY/LB left rear speaker sig -
3 = 803 BN/PK right rear speaker sig +
4 = 802 OR/RD right rear speaker sig -
5 = NOT USED
6 = 694 BK/LG ground
7 = 57 BK ground
8 = 235 RD/BK instrument dimming
9 = 825 TN/LG right rear speaker -
10 = 827 TN/WH left rear speaker +
11 =NOT USED
12 = 832 LB/PK ACP "A"
13 = 833 TN ACP "B"
14 = NOT USED
15 = 1068 LG/BK always on
16 = 797 LG/VT power 12volt

Pin 1 is top left and pin 16 is bottom right looking at C2003 so if you're looking at the back of the RICP, pin 1 is upper right and pin 16 is bottom left.

If you're still looking for C228 (Radio) you can get it at WalMart.
