Cleaning clear corners?

I'm cleaning my truck up for the week or so of nice weather coming up and noticed that my nice clean clear turn signals have mud and salt spray inside of them. I don't reall want to stick them in the oven and tear them apart but I'm not sure how to go about cleaning the insides of them. I'm not sure if I shove a towel down in there with some soapy water or invisible glass would make it look worse or not. If you have any ideas, let me know. Thanks.

BTW, this is for 98-00 front signals if that makes a difference.

some distilled water will work, tap water might work but it could leave spots on the chrome.

get all of the crap out with the water then let the lights sit in the sun till they are dry.

Never thought of distilled water. I'll have to do that tomorrow, they look pretty bad.

Oh, and there are 2 holes that I guess are there for venalation but I was thinking about siliconing them so the mud don't get in it again. My headlights dont have vent holes and they get way hotter than my turn signals! Lol

Yeah, getting the towel in there is gonna be a good time. I guess I'll work at it and see what happens.

you don't have to put the whole towel in the light, just stuff the corner into the socket and soak up the water.

Yeah, it would be neat if I got a whole towel in there though...
