Coca Cola Cleaning Agent

I am serious guys, this actually works, I used a can of regular coca-cola on my corroded (blue rust like stuff) battery terminals and within two minutes, rinsed it off and they look like new. So I decided to clean...:
Chrome Wheels: takes the rusted black edge parts off and restores original chrome finish
Underbody: used a spray bottle and was able to remove rust and particulate corrosion from the underbody
Brakes: after cleaning my disc brakes and my drum brakes with it, they operate like new and have no more grabbing/shuddering issues
Exhaust: my old manifolds (which had to be put on when i had issues with my headers) now look like new, actually they look like headers
Engine Block: looks like new

Anyone else try this before?

I've always cleaned my batterys with it but wouldn't it make everything really sticky unless you clean it up right after its sprayed?

It's because of the acidity of the cola. The carbonation helps clean the blood out of the pavement also.

Coke eats anything, including teeth.

so what did you use to clean? you just pour it on liberally and just wiped off or did you use some kind of sponge or brush?

super sour candies like war heads and the such are close to the same acidity as battery acid. The more sour something is the more acidic. i.e. Lemons are more acidic then oranges.

I've done this several times. Just make sure you rinse with a lot of water afterwords. Wouldn't want Coke sitting in the battery tray under the battery.

Scary to think about how many of those warheads or sour candies we ate as a kid....

I was awaiting a Mythbusters reference, but didn't see any lol. Anyway, I actually utilized pouring coca-cola into one of those pump-pressurized bottles, figuring that under pressure the fizz would stay intact as long as air didn't leak out of the container, I figured without the fizz it probably wouldn't work, and for the battery, I just poured it on the battery...

I purposely avoided the mythbusters reference haha. Trying to hide my inner nerd. Anyways the fizz has nothing to do with it. It's the acidity.

The diet coke and mentos still blows my mind. Mythbusters is my favorite show without a doubt.

After Pictures

Unfortunately I forgot to take photos before I cleaned with Coke, but I have the after photo here:

Clearest photo I had of the after...

There was heavy corrosion all over the top of this battery
