what to use for polished aluminum
Dad just got a 2005 Harley and has some polished alumnum pieces on it that need some attention. He bought this Blue Coral all metal polish that's blue in color and cleans chemically. It does an ok job but we need something with more bite to clean/remove some minor pitting, shine like nobody's business and protects for at least a ridings seasons worth. Thanks -Mike-

you can also try some "never dull".. i just used it today on my chrome tips which had a little bit of pitting and it took off almost all of it. It is also easy to use.. you just open up, tear a small piece of the cotton and rub it on the troubled area for a few minutes and then wipe with a clean towel.. Worked great for me.

You can use the powerball more than once. What I do is when I get done cleaning my rims I wash the powerball with some soap and then rinse it real well. Once all the soap is gone I hook it back up to the drill, put that sucker on high speed and dry it off by letting it spin, occassionally changing directions. Powerball also works great on the inside of exhaust tips.

Has anyone tried the Meguiars all metal polish?
If you are looking for showroom shine you'll have to polish them by hand with a VERY fine cloth. The powerball works wonders but the foam will leave swirls. You can use it to remove wet-sand marks quickly but it wont be perfect.

The best stuff I came across is "Way 2EZ Polish". It's costly, but it works extremely well. I have tried Mothers and it doesn't have anything on this stuff. I use Mothers Powerball ($20.00) with Way 2EZ Polish on my aluminum polished wheels and they look like chrome after I am done. Check it out on this site.
