white haze

I have been washing and scrubbing my truck for a while now and i can't get this off. it is like a white haze on the center of my hood about 1/2 of it is covered with it. i've tried to buff it out and it acts like it is imbeded in the paint and i can't get it off. also my brillant friends and family got the stuff you write on windows with on the truck at my wedding. now i have white specs all over the front of my truck and they only come off when take a fingernail to it. is there an easy way to get it off. they also got it on the plastic of the truck.

the car paint that you use to write on windows is not ment for your cars actuall paint. if left out in the sun it will leave some rsidue that in somecases will inbed into ur clearcoat and there is no real easy way to get that off. sry to hear about that.

clay bar will take off the chalk on the paint, first hand account, but the plastic its on there for a while...

try a clay bar on the white haze also... it could be paint overspray from somewhere, or just alot of contaminates built up in your paint...
