Cleaned and Detailed.... few other things.... lots of pics

I decided to detail the truck. Its been along time since its been done. I kinda slacked on the detail. I only washed, compounded, and then sealed. I would usually clay and do a dawn wash to strip the previous wax but I didn't have time. Figured id do it next time. I took the bedliner out and put a mat in there also took the pinstripe off

here is with the liner in and pinstripe

all taped up after washing. There is still somewhat a layer of wax so it still has a semi shine to it.

All done a day after wards and after being in a light rain. I forgot to take pictures when i got finished. These pictures really don't do it justice. The paint looks a lot deeper and glossy in person.

Heres 2 of my full details

04 acura tsx
Before

After

91 Acura Integra

Only before pic I have (took right after I handed the guy the money for the car)

After (wheels and suspension also)

Comments welcome!

Crap... that really makes me think I need to detail my own truck - honestly though, I dont have the time.. I woudl rather pay a shop $125 to do a full inside out detail, including shampoo and full claybar style treatment all over

Both those prices are pretty cheap. I usually charge $100 for cars/small trucks and $150 for full size trucks/suvs. I know some guys around my area charging around $300 for a full detail.

Sawzall cut about a foot from the tip should do the trick quite nicely! I still need to get under my own truck and grind off the ends to make it a bit more even past my muffler area *doh*

isnt it stainless? i'd just sand it with some 600,800,1000,1500,2000 then polish it. youd even get a shine out of it when you get all the crud off. then if you still dont like it, cut it off

My bro and his friend detail cars... I know they are about in your price range... actually I think a little highter... I usually pay 'em anyway 'cause they are better than I am and I like to KNOW who's working with my truck...

Yeah I know all about polishing. I polished the wheels on the red integra. Took me a month but they all came out like mirrors. When i started they were flat black. I think im a just cut it off.

You're spot on. The paint looks sweet! I thought I charged a lot for detailing! Sheesh! I charged a guy $40 to wash his F150 inside and out.
