new guy tips with exhaust

Hey guys i have to trade my F150 V8 in Saturday for a Ranger 4 banger. So I was wondering if anybody knew a good muffler that is loud and has good sound. i know I'll never have the V8 tone, so I'm just looking for something that sounds good as in throaty. Anything out there any experts out here? Thanks, and by the way this will be the first Ranger I have ever owned so its all new to me.

2.5" dual flowmasters, or a single 3"... if you exit out the rear it gives it more throat, if you drop it somewhere under the cab it'll drone a bit more but have a lower resonance on the gas. Behind/In Front of the tires will give it a fairly standard grunt, like stock but louder.

Think that sounds about right from what I know...

Also depends on if you want to gut the cats, or if you have to pass emission laws.

So im thinking about putting a 40 series muffler and dumping it before the axle does that mean it wont be throaty really?
