Lock Right vs. True Trac

Lock Right vs. True Trac
Which would be more streetable, esspecially during winter? Which has more tire wear involved? This would be for the rear of the truck. I know that the Detroit True Trac is considered one of the best LS and the Lock Rite is one of the better lockers, but which one would suit me more? the Lock Rite is like 100bux cheaper but some times i know cheaper is not better so idk. this truck is used for DD and a weekend wheeler. Primarily in mud, easy trails, hill climbs and very deep snow, not anything serious...

with the 4.0 you should have an 8.8 rear so i don't get the lock-right, get the powertrax no-slip. It may be a little more expensive but it is a true locker and it is completley invisible on the street. The lock-right is good but it can be a bit clunky where the no-slip you will never notice except that both tires will push you.

My truck makes plenty of wierd noises, exhaust pipes slapping the leave springs, the whole truck jarring over every bump and pothole, teeth rattling around in ur head, door panels rubbing each other, belts randomly squeaking, whats another wierd noise... heck it aint a Cadilac. I'll probably never notice. BTW i don't drive my truck that much even though it is a DD.

i never said the lock-right wasn't a true locker, the true-trac however is only a limited slip. The differences with the no-slip is that it is quieter and more confortable on the street. I have the lock-right in my truck and the no-slip in my GFs truck and if they made a no-slip for the 7.5 I would swap it out in a heartbeat, but I guess I just need to wait till i have my 8.8 to have a no-slip. Tire wear isn't an issue so thats not even something to worry about, the only thing you need to remember is to keep the tires at the same pressure on each side and make sure they are the same size, dont run a new tire with a worn down tire in the rear because they are different sizes and the locker doesn't like having different size tires on it.
