Im looking to find an aftermarket diff. cover for my 7.5 rear diff. I wanted to see if anyone knew of a good cover that has the drain plug in it and added capacity? Any help here would be great!

Rockauto sells one with a drain plug but its not super heavy duty. Otherwise you could get ahold of the guys at Ruff Stuff and see if they can make you one. They make them for the 8.8 and up but they might make one for a 7.5. Here is theres.

 

If I were you I wouldn't sink the cash into the 7.5... Upgrade it to an 8.8 or expo! You have more options on those also.

Those are just chrome covers, and probably more flimsy then the stock one.

 

They are like the only aftermarket for a 7.5 I have ever seen though...

This is the only cover I could find. Im thinking it's a bit over kill though. I just wanted a good one with a drain plug to make fluid changes easier.

No way in hell id buy a 7.5 cover for 150. I paid that for my 31spline 8.8 with discs.

Total waste of money. Just tap your stocker for a plug if itll clear.

 

Same. 150 for the expo axle under my truck. :D

 

When I did the swap from the 3.73 open to the 4.10 LS om my 7.5, I purchased a girder cover similar to the American Muscle But it wasn't no $150. Can't remember where I got it, Been 3-4 years ago. But having the drain plug was a plus. Just shop around and you'll find for cheaper...........

You don't have much option for a 7.5.

 

OK, I searched around and found the cover that I bought and found it, Must be becoming popular now.
When I got mine it was a $90 - $100. But it's machined from a single Aluminum billet. the only problem is the drain and fill plugs are steel. As with aluminum / steel. the aluminum will wear, so keep the tefflon tape handy. and the drain plug has a magnet to pick up steel partials from wear and tear.
