B&M trans cooler

I found a pretty decent sized B&M trans cooler in my garage today that my dad was going to put on his old S10 but never did. Does anyone on here have an aftermarket trans cooler on their truck? I'm pretty sure my truck already has a small factory one, would I benefit from swapping it out in favor of this B&M one? Or maybe use both and disconnect where the trans fluid goes into the radiator?

If you run it I would run it inline with the stock one. There are a bunch of people with them installed and it helps to keep the tranny cool.

I heard running multiple coolers makes the fluid move to slow and thus elimantating any cooling the other might be providing. Does more harm than good.

Not if you don't run a huge secondary cooler.

It helps cool the tranny down faster. The trans heats up when you go offroading especially if you have to rock out of being stuck. When you tow it also heats up. I'd do it if I had an auto tranny.

Yes, trans is getting a little bit warmer then I would like. I know my gears are the main reason but I would like to add the B&M cooler since it's just laying around.

Just make sure it's not too big for the tranny. Measure the cooler and see what size B&M recommends for a Ranger.
