Long story short, I have a 1998 ranger 2.5 4cyl 2wd with blow auto trans, and a 1993 ranger stripped down to the frame and a set of jeep axles.

I'm looking to drop the 2.5 from the 1998 in the 93, swap in the jeep axels and have cheap 4x4 bomber for the winter that I don't have to worry about the emmissions crap for the NH state inspection.

What are my bolt on options for transmissions? Are there any non bolt on options that are woth exploring?

Looking for 5 speed, auto would be ok ifthey were easyer to find or way cheaper.
