ball joints

I've pretty much ****ed up my truck. I need to know what the part name is for the part that the ball joints connect to. Both ball joints connect to this part but I don't know if its called a spindle. I was pressing the balljoints in and I bent the ***** by accident.

Ok, here is a pictures of it.

Now he calls it a knuckle but I just had to make sure.

I bent the top of it putting in a ball joint.

Off to the junk yard for you DaGGer. Too bad I didn't keep my wrecked 97', you'd be in luck. I'm not sure how you bent it, but just use a C-clamp (one you can put a wrench or impact on) and some different sized sockets to press the joints in. That will work wonders.

yeah, I have a 20 ton press and I guess I just wasn't paying attention when I pressed it in. Tried heating it up and bending it back but its cast so it just started to crack.

yeah, I'm going to do it the hard way with the new knuckle. Going to use the c channel and a socket to put them in. I really didn't even know I bent it.3 One thign I want to know is how am I going to change over my abs sensor. I couldn't get that thing out of my old knuckle. I accidentally hit it with the hammer while I was getting the spindle that connect to the knuckle off. So I'm sure that its messed up now, I'm not going to be fixing it as the abs sensor is like $100. SO I'll end up pulling the bulb and fixing the burnt out bulb in my clutster. I don't need ABS anyways. Its a pain sometimes.
