Abs

I got the codes checked for his ABS light. I can't find the exact codes right now but it brought up something for the rear speed sensor and the sensor that is only on 4WD models (the one that is neat the fuel filter). I would hope that one of them went bad and is causing both of the codes. Any ideas?

if you take the bulb out the dash will beep.
personaly i would not recomend dissableing the ABS system. for instance, if you are in an accident and your insurance company finds out you dissabled the antilock system you may be liable for all claims!
pay for a professional diag by someone with a scanner that can retrieve live data (like mine). then evaluate the problem and see if you can do the repair yourself.

I just bought the rear ABS speed sensor from NAPA for 10 bucks. When I had the codes scanned it brought that up as one of them. The mechanic told me that the ABS system runs a idagnostic every time you start the truck. Im wondering if I will have to take it back to have the codes cleared or if it will recognize it by itself and turn the light out. Only time will tell and I will keep you all informed.
