5-speed flush?

The Edmunds manual says that this fluid shouldn't ever need to be changed, but I'm kinda leery about "lifetime" fluids. And since it sometimes takes 2 tries to get into 2nd or 4th (other gears have no problem), I wonder if a drain-and-fill might help ease the shifting.

yep its really simple to change the fluid in the manual... just drain it and fill until it begins to come out of the fill hole... use a good synthetic ATF like amsoil or mobil1 and you will have much better shifts
