Low Fluid...whered it go?

Ok so I have a nice squeek coming from my truck and I'm having trouble locating it. I already replaced my U-joints and thats not the problem. It sounds like its coming from the rear but its not coming from the wheels. So I checked the fluid in my rear diff and it seemed a bit low, so I added to it...damn near a quart low. I have no leak that can be seen at all...none...no fluid spray or anything. Where did a quart of gear oil go? Could this noise be the rearend? Oh the squeek speeds up and slows down with the movement of my truck...

any ideas?

it can be coming from the rear end...
take your rear tires off and remove the drums ...check to see if the seals are leaking there!

Ok well If it is hypothetically coming from my rear end then how do I get it to stop?

are you sure it your gears?? or not like your leaf springs or anything?

i no it common for us off-road truck to get sand and dirt built up in the leaf springs and they squeak pretty bad if you dont clean them out.

rock your truck up and down and that will tell you if its your leaf springs or not.
