noise help please

ok so my truck just started making a rattle noise 2 days ago. i cant find where its coming from but i can tell when its doing it. maybe someone has had this before. its a deep knocking noise but only when i push my clutch in and try to engage it in gear and only when im releasing my clutch to take off. but it did it once yesterday at idle then stopped. but started again as i tried taking off in first. when im driving it has no clicking/knocking. but when im al idle and put tranny in gear with the clutch pushed in. i thought it may be the throwout bearing but i thought they squilled and didnt knock/click. and it gets louder and faster as i start rolling in first and the more i let off the clutch. truck is a 2000 2wd 3.0 manual tranny

ok adding to this i just got under the truck and the noise was gone. i put the tranny in gear the noise started. i out the truck back in neutral and kept the clutch pressed in while the noise continued. i can hear where it is coming from, its between the engine and tranny where they bolt up. in the crack where u can see the bottom of the clutch/flywheel. its coming from there but once i let off the clutch the noise stopped all together. the flywheel was still spinning obviously but no noise. only with the clutch engaged but you have to put it in a gear first.

right as you start to apply the clutch is when your throw out bearing will make noise with the clutch depressed fully you pilot bearing/bushing is what should be making noise and with the clutch engaged any noise heard should be in the transmission
