okay i want lockers need help thanx

Okay so I have a 97 with the 7.5 3.73 gear ratio I want to keep the same gear ratio if I can I am going to the junk yard to look around what rigs have the same axle that I could just pull the insides out of and put in mine

Don't waste your time putting a locker in a 7.5. If you really want to you could but you should get an expo axle and drop a locker in that.

What about those limited slips and spoils what do those do for you I am not gunna be doing to much crazy stuff with the truck just a lot of hunting so I just want that lil bit of extra grab

Well a lot of expos are limited slips so you could just find a limited expo and drop it in. You get a much stronger axle and a limited slip out of the deal.

it would probably be easier for him to get a ranger 8.8 since it will bolt in unlike the explorer axle. If he isnt doing a lot of wheeling or running big tires it should hold up fine. And he could find one with 3.73 and limited slip or get an open one and put a lock right in it.

Well for me, finding an 8.8 ranger axle around here was near impossible.
