Icon13 Auto Shift Kit Aftermath...

So I installed a TransGo shift kit in my '99 2WD with the 4R44E and now whenever I put it in reverse, drive, 2 or 1 it sill stays in neutral. It will go into park after a brief moment and a "clank". So far I have only put in 3 quarts of Mercon V and got some sort of reading on the dipstick, followed the shift kit instructions to a tee, put on a new filter, etc. Any ideas? I can't get it to throw any codes so its gotta be something simple or maybe it just needs more fluid???

if you torqued the bolts correctly and in the correct order and installed all the parts correctly and used new gaskets for the seperator plate then your only issue should be a lack of fluid. It took almost 7 quarts to get the 5R55Es that ive done back up to full. Leave the truck running and let it warm it and check the fluid level and work it through the gears a few times with the brakes on. It took a minute or two before things started to engage again on the ones ive done.

Well, I think I know how I messed up... I forgot to hook up the manual valve when I put my Valve Body back on. Earlier I checked the dipstick level and found it to be dry so 2 quarts later it started to show up even after I shifted back and fourth a few times. Looks like I get another fluid bath

If you can go forward then take your truck to Jim at Reliable Transmission located on the SW corner of TV highway and 185th in Aloha. He put a transgo shift kit in my truck for about $450. I highly recommend him.

Well sure enough I was right... and with LOTS of help from my bro who helped me wrench on both Rangers last weekend we got it reconnected and back together before the evening. I haven't gotten a chance to adjust the bands yet like it says to and only drove it once so far but I noticed the 2-3 is much much better now!
