I have a 1994 ranger 4x4 4.0L 5spd manual with locking hubs, there is a strange rubbing noise in the front right side of the truck when in 4wd just started today, the noise kinda sounds like pulling an old nail out of wood, it only happens when in 4wd once i take it out of 4wd the noise goes away

 

probably a seized u joint on the front right axle shaft

 

Tell us some more details.... when did it start happening, etc....
