I was thinkin about painting my chrome exhaust tips black but i dont know if it is even possible due to the heat and possible chipping. So my question is has anyone painted their tips and if so what kind of paint did you use and how did you do it. Thanks for the help and sorry for another dumb newbie question

 

I think it could work for a little while but after a while it would start to look like crap.

 

It would chip and scratch. Dont do it.

 

just paint them with some high temp plack paint, I dont think they will get that messed up. And if they do who cares its only spay paint and an easy fix.

 

Or.......just get black tips. I've seem 'em. I've had some major bad luck with hi-temp paint on exhaust.

 

yeah i kinda figured it wasnt a good idea... any idea where i kind find black tips because the shop that did my magnaflows didnt carry them

 

Really, I kinda like the idea... I mean i personally like chrome more, but I don't think it is bad. I bet if you used Engine Enamel you would have no problems..... just a thought then you could always recoat if u wanted
