heavy duty bumpers

Does anyone have any suggestion where to get some real heavy-duty bumpers for our rangers? Saw a F350 with a bumper called ROAD ARMOR..Now thats a bumper, that really looks like i could crash thru a bank vault with this thing..for the rangers, everything ive seen so far looks more cosmetic tubing that rusts away in a few years..

Doesn't look like a bad price for a bolt on bumper.

There are a lot of threads on this already. Road Armor makes a bumper for the ranger as well.

Not listed on the RA website. Is it in a hard-to-find sub-section by chance?

Someone posted a link to it a week or two ago. Search around here for it. I would find it but I'm on my phone.

I guess I am blind and/or simply inept. I ran a careful search on this forum -- AND online, using terms like "armor" + "ranger" in various combinations -- and I got no hits. Oh well. I am keen to see the aforementioned link re-appear here!

Thank you for the tip - that is an awesome piece! And its strength & engineering is reflected in its cost - over one thousand dollars! Zounds! However, it's a bit robust for my needs.

Thank you for following up. In fact, Iron Bull also has no bumpers for Rangers. (listings - yes/product - no) So that's a dead end. < sigh >

That's strange how the page loads but no pictures. The c4x4 bumper is by far the nicest I've seen other than making one custom.

It's 22h30 EST here, and just now when I clicked the link it opened with a nice pic of a burgundy Ranger with a winch-equipped HD bumper. And yet earlier today, I clicked that link and it went to an essentially-empty Iron Bull page...and every "Ranger" link went to black.

So - my apologies! 'Twas the 'net gremlins (again)

I agree with the Custom 4x4 Fab Bumper is a good one, nice workmanship, good welding.

He is working on a rear Steppie bumper as I type and he may have a rear styleside bumper soon too; not much difference from the steppie to the styleside.

Contact him. mention the site, ask if there is a Ranger Forums.com discount !

Ask for Mike, he is a good guy to talk to.

There's another company that's started making plate bumpers for 98+ trucks. Logan's Metal Products located in PA. A friend of mine has their front a rear bumpers on his XJ. The are built extremely well and have take a lot of abuse. And the look really good. I've been thinking about picking one up for the new truck.
