With step bars or without??

My step bars are getting a little rusty so they needed to come off to be either painted or sold. So I took them off to see how it looked without but am still undecided if they are getting cleaned up and put back or staying off. What do you think looks better?
Without..

They are a pain to clean! And in the winter they are just big blocks of ice and slush hanging off the side of my truck which is the main reason i was thinking about ditching them.

I think they only look good on lifted trucks with bigger tires and XLT's

I like them off, but I needed something to help my elder relatives get in and out of the truck.

hmm i was going to say take the deflector off. but i think it looks good. actually it would really work either way.. also. your corners are really dark, kinda looks funny. but good at the same time

Ya, im unsure of the deflector as well, but i think it might look cleaner without it. And my corners were my first trial at nightshade, and they did come out too dark. I think i am going to do the black headlight mod and get clear corners to black out the insides to replace them. I have a big "to do" list for the summer. In the next few weeks nightshade the tails, tint the side windows, valance, headlights blacked out, bucket seats going in. Then in a month or two when my tires are burned off I am getting some black 17's and nitto terra grapplers and putting in my 31 spline rear end.... cant wait.
