Painted Brake Calipers

so today i got bored and i was low on gas so i wasnt go anywhere the rest of the nite so i decided to paint my calipers i think they turned out pretty good IMO tell me what ya'll thinnk!

i went to orielys and bout dupli-color caliper paint with ceramic its a kit it comes with paint a brush stir stick tape to tape off stuff you dont want painted and cleaning spray the spray works really well spray it the use like a tooth brush to clean it

ill be doing the drums later today
i ran out of daylight yesterday

That sounds pretty easy then if its spray and scrub. I'd be interested to know how well the hold up in the long run with such little prep work.

Looks good though, especially with those wheels.

i just finished the rear drums about 10 mins ago
heres some pics

turned out very well the box say it takes about 2hours to dry enought to drive and 24hrs to cure
i did a little extra prep beyond what the box said instead of using the spray and a tooth brush i used a wire brush and then went over it with sandpaper
over all i think it took about an hour to do the rear drums very easy. the front calipers were a little harder only cuz i didnt remove them i remover the drums and used a larger brush as well ask any questions ill be happy to answer them

Dam, i painted my brake calipers and drums black with spray paint last summer. But now that I see your painted i wish i hadnt and painted them red with that kind of paint.

Nice job man

looking good man. you say you used a wire brush on the area first, before painting it right?

yeah
i sprayed the cleaner that came with the kit the wire brushed it but im not sure what other colors it comes in i know red black yellow blue of courseand thanks for the compliments

thanks and not yet i should soon tho the only camera i have is my phone
as you can tel from the pics they suck
