Rinse the lights and spray another coat. It shouldn't come out all cloudy like that. I've had that happen to me before.
Make sure the surface you are sanding, and the sandpaper you are using are wet.
You also dont really need to wetsand your lights if your paintjob came out nice and smooth. wetsanding only helps remove or repair blemishes.
Just spray em again, let it dry and spray them with clear and call it a day.

lol doing it yourself is the best way to learn! when i first did them on my grand prix like 3 years ago it looked like butt, so i stripped the paint and tried again
now i've done like 10 sets for myself and other people as well, you get it down pretty quick.
