What kind of body lift?

I have a 99 Ranger. I don't want a 3" body lift. More like a 1-2" lift. I want to keep my stocky tires on it without looking stupid. No reason to replace 1 year old tires. Would it be bad if I did the redneck treated wood lift or hockey puck deal? Could ya think of something else. I don't want to spend much or I get the "You are a dumb-***" talk from dad.

Please do not put wood blocks on your truck. Just spend a little money and get a quality product that will keep you safe.

Haha, I just wanted to see what someone would say. I am looking from a cheap body lift for 1"-2" but can't find anything cheap.

1" body lift only runs you around $60. I had one. It won't look bad with just 1" BL and stock sized tires. It's just the blocks and longer bolts that are needed. The 2" BL's for rangers are for 83-94 rangers. Will not work on 98+ trucks.

All your info can be found here in regards to the 1" BL: https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...ad.php?t=29269

3" PA body lift will run about $220-250. I got mine for $190.

No hockey pucks, no wood.

any idea why a 2" won't fit 98+ trucks but a 3" does?

a 2" kit for a 94 will likely not fit our trucks.........steering shaft issues, defiantely bumper brackets, maybe fuel lines, radiator drop brackets....and the like. They actually make a 3" kit for 98+ trucks, that why they fit.

There was a 2" BL thread where i really looked into it. I think it's better to get the 3" kit, and then replace the 3" blocks with new PA 2" blocks.
