Painting trim on Rear slider...?

I had to buy another rear slider(friend elbowed the last one). On this one the trim is faded pretty good but I got a good deal on it. My question is can I paint the trim with Krylon fusion black and will it hold up and not crack/fade/peel? How would I prep it to since its rubber? Is there any other paint that would work better? opinions or ideas would be great!

^^ I've got a bottle of that, but its not long lasting, I guess I could just put some on it everytime I wash the truck but figured that would get old.
