a little lift for the explorer

A few weeks ago i replaced my ranger with an explorer. not too much money to put into this thing, but i have been keeping myself busy. here is how it sat when i picked it up.

i have the original 1996 Firestone spare underneath the truck ahaha. is it too late to cash in on the recall?

and here is how my truck is sitting now. i removed the faded pink/purple pinstripe and it got a nice wash a couple days ago. it also got a set of 32x1150r15 bfg a/t.

you should swap the front clip to a ranger front clip. i was never a fan of that front on the exploder. but yours as a whole looks good.

she's looking good!!!

im not a big fan of the grill tho... a friend had a 91-92 expo that the tranny was blown but it went to the scrapyard..

the neighbour right beside me (the friend is a nieghbour too, lives across the road) has an early 90's expo too with a blown t-case.. so i might talk to them and see if i can get the rear end and leaf's out of it.

see.... it's time for a front clip convertion. go and be the first exploder with a powerdome with matching fenders and grill.

looks good im tempted to go explorer lately too ... theres a 93 sport 2dr 4x4 4.0 5spd for sale by me for 1400 with 89k orig miles. I generally get sick of my vehicles at the 2 year mark for some reason

The front doors are different so the fenders don't match up.

I have seen a few Explorers with front ends that look okay. A basic black tube bumper makes it look 10x better. That along with clear headlights and nicer corners.
If you got real ambitious, you could see if sport trac front parts would work.
