aluminum wheels reconditioning

The '99 ranger I have has the clearcoat coming off a couple of the wheels and they have a blackish color where the clearcoat has come off. May be brake dust. Any one know of a way to strip the rest of the clearcoat off the wheels, buff off the black and reapply a sealer of some sort?

you can use aircraft paint striper it will have the clear coat off in no time or you can get them sandblasted.

i just fixed this problem today, use paint stripper on the areas that have blemishes then apply clear coat over everything, usualy you can find clear coat in rattle cans at your local building/hardware store, hope this helped...
