stock shocks... cranked t-bars
stock shocks... cranked t-bars
front and rear my shocks are stock height, with the 4 inches of block in rear and fully cranked t-bars, i have now blown the bushing out of the passenger side shock twice, under autozone warranty so its free replacement, but i was told by 4wheelparts that they dont make lifted shocks for the front end of a 01 lifted ifs, is this true??
stop getting airborne or causing the front suspension to droop abrubtly and that wont happen. are you tightening the top stud when the suspension is loaded or the wheels are on the ground? and only tighten til the bushing is the same size as the washer
What happens if you tighten the top stud when the suspension is loaded. Im curious about this? Awhile back i gave it a slight twist cause I thought it was loose but then quickly realised it was normal
since the shock is the uptravel limit for the suspension, if you try to tighten it with the suspension hanging, it will not tighten correctly or evenly with the bottom bushing (the one under the upper shock mount) so thats why you have the suspension in the loaded position (how it would be with the wheels sitting on the ground) and tighten it
