How-To: Fold-A-Cover Install

This How-To will cover the installation of a Fold-a-Cover LS. It took myself and my brother-in-law about 4 hours to install the cover. Most of the time was spent learning to use a rivet gun (DOH). I'm very happy with the cover, best $500 I ever spent. For more info, visit fold-a-cover. I purchased the cover from Beto's Customs in Tampa 813-961-7571

IMPORTANT!
Be sure to always wear proper eye protection while working with power tools.

Tools/Equipment needed:
  • Drill
  • Screw Drivers
  • Rivet Gun

Step 1:

Install starts by attaching rail to existing Ranger bed cap. Uses tape and existing screws.

Step 2:

Locks are secured to bedliner using rivets.

Step 3:

Cover locks are drilled into the bedliner. There is also a no drill clamp-on system available.

Step 4:

Finished install shows main fold point secured to truck. These screws must be removed to fully remove the cover.

Mod Complete:

Finished job, cover closed and locked.

The Fold-a-Cover LS in action.

Back open to show tailgate lock on cover. The tailgate won't open with the cover closed.

Butt shot with cover closed.
