Project "Get it done before the dunes"

Well ever since it started getting warm out again i have been busy working on the truck. So far i have gotten my bed all cut apart due to rust and just put the bed sides themselves back on and pulled tem in a bit, Made new rear cab mounts (cab is solid mounted now), Reworked the rear bumper,Plated front frame rails. Still to be done is install my new Griffin 31x19 aluminum radiator, Install Derale tranny cooler, fab up a new core support, add bump stops in the front (front diff had a run in with the engine X member), rework engine x member, pull tranny have it built, and swap out t-cases.

Bed sides are stayin untill i put a cage and 4 link the back then they will get redone.
Thanks for the compliments and trust me i moved last year haha i ran the crap outta the 4.0 now i will se what i can do with the 5.0.
Also i just got my radiator and tranny cooler the quality is very high on both and am very happy with them i will get pics when installed.
I do have a ? though does anybody know if i can put an electric speed sensor in place of the mechanical speed sensor on a np-205?

It was $180 from summit and in my opinion worth more its very nice quality, nice welds no rough edges or anything. Im definatly happy with it.
One question is the fan on the new tranny cooler i have says to just wire it up to the factory wires for the old fan but i didnt have a factory fan to begin with so how should i wire it in just hook it up so it turns on when you turn the key, put it on a switch, or what should i do?
Zach what are you using for a radiator with the 5.4?

180 for the griffen radiator? that is a good price!

i have no clue what we are doing for the 5.4, im leaving that to nick. its unlikely i will be at the dunes anyway.

Ya i was very suprised with the price it is a universal radiator so you make your own mounts but no big deal really.

Im just going with hood pins there not the best but that is reallly my only choice since the old hood latch wont clear the rad. and hood.

I got a NP 205 this weekend, just set it up in there it looks like it is going to clear everything. I am pulling the trans friday and hope to have it built by next week. Radiator and front clip are 95% done.
