What is this? Welding related? help me out..

I don't know what these are really for, I have a box of them. came amidst some junk I got from work. I think they may be for welding, for grounds or something.

Text on it:

KEARNEY <--my last name?!?!?
4/0 WELD. CABLE
CAT. 133043-040
.840 DIE
HYDRAULIC TOOLS
OVERLAP CRIMPS

Info I found:
Cable size AWG: 4/0
Ferrule Type: Plain
Ferrule Style: 58P
Kearney Installing Die: 840
Burndy Installing Die: U168
Approx Wt: 5.5 oz

ASTM Ratings:
Grade: 5
Continuous Current A RMS 60 Hz: 400
Withstand Rating Symmetrical kA
RMS 60 Hz: 15 cycles, 43::: 30 cycles, 30

any ideas? anyone use(d) these or know what they are for?

a hole. I assume the size of 4/0. to like insert cable in. then maybe you bolt it to something to get a ground? i dunno. maybe i'll just sell the copper for scrap haha.

Probably screws/bolts into a welding machine.

Thats what I was thinking. You might be able to insert a welding lead into the hole on the bottom.

That's a Shrouded Ferrule. And they are far from being cheap. http://www.highvoltagesupplies.com/store/product/shrouded-ferrules-2015-1192.cfm
